Sound Sculpture, Inc. (SSI) is an independent sound studio and workshop dedicated to themed, location-based experiences. Since 1996, we have explored sound’s role as a foundational creative material, crafting bespoke sounds that shape how environments are perceived and understood. Each day, tens of thousands of people encounter our work.
Our work lives in the sonic space alongside music and dialogue: sound effects, Foley, environmental layers, sonic textures, and immersive soundscapes. We do not regard these elements as decorative additions, but as foundational design material. These sounds shape how space, motion, story, and visual detail are interpreted, from early creative development through the final guest experience.
The handcrafted nature of our work is not only an aesthetic choice — it is a practical one. It allows us to work with a level of specificity and responsiveness that supports long-form development, iteration, and world building.

The SSI Workspace
The SSI Studio and Workshop space reflects a lineage of classic sound-effects artistry alongside contemporary sound design tools and practices.
The space is part workshop, part sound studio, part laboratory, part museum of sonic curiosities. Here, classic sound effects artistry, experimental instrument construction, and performance-based sound design are paired with modern sound design tools and workflows. Our sounds are built, performed, shaped, and adapted in response to the needs of each project.
